Safer Online Friendships, Without Fear

The internet is an integral part of our lives today. It connects us, empowers us, and shapes our future. Unfortunately, it also carries risks. To stay safe, we need knowledge—the awareness that protects us and those we love from online negative impacts.

For over 14 years, LIFT International has fought human trafficking—pursuing justice and protecting vulnerable lives. As traffickers adapt, so do we. Our expertise and strategies continue to evolve, especially against those who hide in the digital world. They exploit technology to target children and young people, luring them into danger.

Our response is to take action. Over the past year, we have expanded our work online, sharing real-world expertise with youth through digital platforms like webinars. Aiming to create safe online spaces where children can thrive—free from harm, unlocking their full potential.

Raising Awareness, Empowering Youth

To protect the next generation, we launched the “Human Trafficking Dialogue With Youth” campaign. Last year, young Media and Communications interns led a conversation in our first webinar with our team about human trafficking in Southeast Asia.

This year, on February 11, 2025, we hosted “Safer Online Friendships, Without Fear”. Nearly 100 participants joined us—learning from experts at LIFT International, Rapha International, and law enforcement on how to build safe connections and protect communities from digital exploitation.

Missed the webinar? We have captured the most powerful moments from the 90-minute session in this recap video. Watch, learn, and share! The more we are aware, the more children’s lives we can protect from online sexual exploitation.
